The trip to St Helens Glass - where you step back in time and experience life in the victoiran era - the joys and hardship of working and living in a town shaped by coal, the canal and the glass industry and learn about the history of glass. There was also a visit to the Grade II listed jubilee cone building as seen in the photographs and the first continuous glass making furnace together with live glass blowing demonstrations.
Pictures from a recent meeting when the Lancashire Evening Telegraph came to take pictures for an article when we were successful in a bid to buy 5 gas alarms.
